Tim’s behaviour is a symptom of an underlying need.
Behaviour: Tim does not have secure attachments.
Needs: Tim needs to create a secure attachment to his teacher.
Behaviour: Will not participate in any activities.
Needs: Tasks need to be differentiated or accommodations need to be made so that Tim can successfully complete activities.
Behaviour: Does not know many children because he did not attend pre-school. Acts inappropriately (violent) with other children and teachers.
Needs: Requires social skills training so that Tim can interact safely with other people.
To meet his needs, the following strategies can be used:
